As a previous career for elderly peoples with dementia, I am taking the freedom to speak over this case, plus as student of UK law. When deal with peoples from all kind of mental issues not matter age, equally important to deal with own family issues, as the reality of matters can surprise you.
The children of the ladies in my charge were complete apart, from own parents and that was the rule on that time and reasons to hire me to enable them, to have all the freedoms to deal with own life, equal in any rest home, not matter if deal with mental issues or not, irrelevant in law, but care.

However, I am unable to understand why the staff at the rest home in this case with Ronald King and his wife Rita was not doing the duty at work and responsibilities to look after both of them, as the law state, governs and dictate, but left the old man to deal with his own wife alone, maybe full time and even on Christmas to have a decent break, not wonder Ronald King was "at the end of his tether", with respect. http://tinyurl.com/j9r3hxq
Caring for old peoples is not a hard job not matter illness, issues and problems, but the person who is doing the caring job need to have a break from time to time and I believe strong in this case was Ronald King, because the staff at care home was nowhere to be seeing, otherwise he would never take the extreme measure and snap!-
I am surprise that the manager of the care home, Julie Curtis, removed the weapon, but never removed the responsibility from Ronald King, as he was full time responsible for his wife in a "care home" and not the staff at that place?-
When in reality, Julie Curtis is the manager of the complete building of De la Mer House care home, peoples and even contents - including weapons, not Ronald King at any time, but staff! -
The action itself from Ronald King against his wife is crime in cold blood, but the law need to seek reasons from him and who is in charge of the whole complete building, peoples and contents, which is Julie Curtis and the reasons why he snapped!-
As it said very clearly and in plain English: Mr King and his wife Rita were both residents at De La Mer House care home (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-35195377), so by the UK law, the responsibility lies heavily to staff of De La Mer House care home and reasons why they are staffed, in order to look after peoples, that are incapable to look after themselves, by themselves, but need help at certain times in their lives and "neglect" is not plausible in law, when in full salary.
Now in which language do you want this case to translate, for professional peoples to start taking responsibility of own jobs and stop blaming fragile individuals, that are incapable to look after the other and in this case was Ronald King with his wife, not matter how capable they look, simple both are age relate, so irrelevant in law.
I am taking the case without suffering any kind of hate propaganda, intimidation, abuse, bullying, or any other kind of harassment acts, because the UK peoples need to start looking after own matters properly, in a professional manner, not start blaming other peoples that are incapable, as this case is Ronald King, because he snapped by the lack of support in the care home, when he said: "I think she’s had enough. The care home itself is not a bed of roses quite contrary and we don't know what it went there "before", to enable wife (RIP) and husband (Ronald King and his wife, Rita) to said: "I think she’s had enough - We’ve had enough (http://tinyurl.com/hgqgcfv)" and this is when peoples snap, by the stress, bullying and abuse of such places, that somehow the victims need to hold their own dignity.

I don't get pay for to do the professionals jobs as I am unemployed, neither my children as they alone choose own profession, but the UK professional peoples like the care home staff that neglect own jobs, otherwise Ronald King and his wife would not need to go to such extremes.
It is time for professional peoples to adhere to own job description, in order to deal with matters, any matters of the same job, but deny and even use my children to do own jobs as the ex/husband sister social worker ( http://tinyurl.com/oxfyppg ), when she is the social worker and not my children at any time.

When the ex/husband mother was about to be put into a care home ( http://tinyurl.com/oaj9syv ), she asked my children to help her as I was divorce ( http://goo.gl/RG9NB0 ) and I gave my full support,
but in reality, she has a daughter that is a social worker to deal with such matters and was getting paid full time salary to look after her own mother and not my children, but helping - pretending doing house help in order to stop grandma to be taken into a care home as "neglect" by own child - social worker.
When the daughter social worker (as letter state) is in full time charge of own mother and profession, not my children at any time, because she told me from day one and I respect her wishes, but maybe her daughter was abusing her position, as how she was going into a care home and by who's (?) then blame my own children after, as she done to me with endless matters in my care jobs and lost all by the ill spread.
When the ex/husband mother has her own home, money, possibilities, but always leave to me, or my own children the social worker, sister of the ex/husband own responsibilities, like the care home staff to Ronald King and why, when they get paid for job, not us?-
