What is the Role of the British (UK = Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England) Monarchy.
In a British Monarchy, a King or Queen is Sovereign Head of State, a Constitutional Monarchy and the ability to make, pass legislation resides with an elected Parliament:

If anything fails within the Monarchy Constitution, "We - the Peoples can uphold the Magna Carta against the disturbance", anything that goes against our peace and way of life issued June 1215 first document in writing, with the principle that the King (Charles III) and his Government are not above the law and in order to prevent exploiting his power, placing limits of Royal Authority by establishing law as a power in itself:

There is nothing wrong to stand together with the world in defence of Sovereign, Liberty, Freedoms, Rights, Laws and even Free Speech without taking sides, interfer with political matters is up to them and alone, to sort their own problems without dragging the UK / world into another well planed war = WWIII.
